Naruto Manga: Chapter 504 – Thank you!

This weeks chapter was packed with emotion! From the title, it is safe to assume that the two parents we’ve become so attached to will bid us a tearful farewell.

So this is how Naruto’s seal came to be….the Kyuubi’s chakra was split into two, and with the help of Kushina’s, placed her remaining chakra into Naruto.  All of this must have been what Kushina meant when she said that Minato didn’t have enough time to tell Naruto everything. Minato is a great father and shinobi. He knows how badly Kushina wanted to see Naruto grow up as a child, and given the circumstances that they were put in, they were unable to do that; so he does the next best thing: seals part of her chakra inside Naruto so that she can see him one more time when he is older. Minato knew Madara would return and he knew the prophecy said that his son would be the one to stop him, so it makes sense why he would want his wife, a Ninja with a special chakra able to control the Kyuubi, to be there for support when that time comes.

Back when Naruto first met his father, he was emotional and expressed how hard his life was because he was the Jinchuuriki. Now we know why. It was a heavy burden, but a heavy burden that has, in a way, been lifted (at least to a degree). From the past, we know that even though Naruto was in some pretty rough situations having the Kyuubi’s power take over him, he was able to stand ground with some extremely powerful opponents using only half of the Kyuubis chakra.

You really get a great indicator of just how strong the Kyuubi is when you examine the large paw print. And not missing a beat, Minato goes into performing the 8 trigams seal. Minato’s strength and determination is incredible!


Wow. This panel is beautiful but Kushina wasn’t kidding when she said that their methods of sealing were a little rough.

Naruto has truly grown as a person. When Naruto met Minato, initially he was upset for the life that he had when he was younger due to the Kyuubi being sealed inside of him, but it wasnt long till he was able to learn and grow from that experience. He didn’t hold any grudges against his father when he met him and here Naruto can be shown doing the same for his Mother.

8 hints that Madara may have ties to the Land of Whirlpool

The last few chapters have given us sooo much information regarding the past. Uzushiogakure, the Land of Whirlpools, is home to the Uzumaki, a clan that quickly became known and feared for their Fuinjutsu (Sealing Techniques). The members of the Uzumaki possessed incredible longevity… so much that they were nicknamed as the “Village of Longevity.” This, tied with their amazing sealing powers, and you can understand how it was only a matter of time before Kushina’s home was destroyed. But what if.. what if Madara was responsible to some degree? Yay! #speculation ftw!

1. Seal vulnerability

Kushina states that she doesn’t know how, but that somehow the “Masked Man” knew when the seal would be at it’s weakest…. childbirth. At this point, we don’t know for certain how Madara obtained this information. He himself could have spied, or used someone to spy to get this information much like how Kisame was sent on a mission to spy via Samehada on Kumogakure…  but for now IF he was from Uzushiogakure, then that could explain how he would know when such a powerful sealing technique is at it’s weakest point.

2. Mask Design

Probably one of the more obvious, the design of Madara’s mask is shaped like a whirlpool. It is still uncertain, but this too could be a hint that he is tied to Uzushiogakure somehow. So far we have seen two variations of Madara’s mask: Old and New. The older one looks more ANBU-ish style, while the other is more Modern and vibrant in terms of color but both are designed in a way that they resemble a whirlpool.

3. Style of Suction/Warp jutsu

Prior to chapter 498, I never looked at the style of Madaras “warp technique” and thought to myself, “this looks like a whirlpool” but more of a “Vortex” .. that is until Kishi started hitting us with information about the Village of Whirlpool!

4. Chakra Chains

Look at the design of the chains. Of all things to restrain the Kyuubi, its these chains. At first, I thought that these chains belonged to Kushina and somehow Madara was able to control them. But I also noticed that the chains from Kushina’s chakra have “spiked” links. The chains that are being used to restrain the Kyuubi don’t have these… o.O’

5. Extraction process

In the lower left corner, I created a visual aid in the picture (shown above) that shows an aerial view of Madara performing the extraction process on Kushina. The design of the four pillars with Kushina placed in the middle suggests to me that this is some type of counter to the four-element seal. But how? How does Madara know how to counter such a powerful technique? If he had ties to Uzushio somehow, then that could explain how he could undo such a powerful technique in a short amount of time; furthermore, when Kushina explained to Naruto the history of her clan, she mentioned here that her clans methods of sealing were rough. The way that Madara undid the seal (shown above) and took the Kyuubi from Kunisha was definitely rough. The Kyuubi was pretty much ripped out of her.

6. Geography

The geography of Uzu no Kuni, the Land of Whirlpools, is a small island located off the Land of Fire. To the left of Uzushiogakure is the Land of Fire and to the right is The Land of Water. How convenient for Madara. The Wave country is what the Land of Whirlpools was prior to its destruction. We know from Kisame, that Madara, the Leader of Akatsuki, used to also be the 4th Mizukage of Kirigakure. We also heard from Raikage that Akatsuki was rumored to have formed in Kirigakure. Raikage also found it suspicious that Kirigakure has no diplomatic ties with any other nations.  I do too, but that’s another story. :P   We do know that the Land of Whirlpools was eventually invaded and destroyed, but what I would like to know is by who?  Could Madara have been behind that attack (to any degree) and then fled to Kirigakure to start his next bidding? Possibly. Given the geographic distance between Kirigakure and Uzushiogakure, I can see Kirigakure, especially because of its location, being the next best place for him to work on his next plan(s).

7. Survivors of Uzushio

Kushina says that her home is long gone, and she knew it would be only a matter of time before it was destroyed. But whats important about this is that Kushina doesn’t say that her clan was annihilated or that she was the only known survivor (like Kimimaro for example). Instead, she says that the survivors disappeared and scattered themselves across the world of Naruto. Could Madara have taken advantage of this situation to benefit his motives?

8. Madaras long life

The people of Uzushio were blessed with such long lives that they were known as “The Village of Longevity.” If Madara had ties to the Land of Whirlpool, it would explain how he is able to live for so long….

Naruto Shippuden – Ultimate Ninja Storm 2!

Many of us, myself included, loved Ultimate Ninja Storm 1, so imagine the excitement when I learned there is another one coming out! ^_^ Lets get right into it! There is basically three major elements to this game. Players will be able to select over 40 playable characters and it will be playable worldwide online. It’s a battle game with action and adventure capabilities. In terms of the Narrative, it will begin at the beginning of the Shippudden arc. It’s actually going to incorporate pieces that are not included in the Shippuden anime series yet. The game will be filled with a lot of drama. From the Shippuden series, it will introduce many different types of characters. Some of the characters will pass away during the gameplay, so it will get dramatic.

There will be three battle modes. They have drama filled adventure mode, online battle mode, and option settings for those who want to be discreet. So these are the four selectable modes offered but for the most part, most players will be spending a lot of time towards the action/adventure scenes.

There’s a new mode incorporated into the battles. It’s in relation towards the usage of  support characters and this time around they are actually able to create combo-move units where the player actually works in sync with the support characters! So as the players use the support characters more and more, there is a certain gauge and once that gauge reaches a certain limit, you get a support mode where the player will automatically be helped by the support characters and that, in turn, connects to special combo moves with those support characters!

And if have any worries about being a first time player, fear not! You will be able to enjoy the game and all of the series that the developers have created. The game is built around the concept that its good for the casual and first time initial players as well!

Naruto Manga Chapter 503: Kushina = Superwoman

Hi Fandomers! Sorry I am a little late on this weeks review… blame my 3 jobs ;( Anyway, I am Loving this spread! <3

You can see the family together eating breakfast. This is a good spread as it shows us what life would be like if Naruto had both of his parents around. ;_; I <3 Kushina’s hair! The style indicates that the Kyuubi is still sealed within her. ^.^ Minato looks like he would let his son get away with many things that Kushina wouldn’t tolerate, lol. Cute. +1 for this spread x)


I had to keep reading page 3 and 4 over, but did Madaras hand and/or arm get cut off? T__T I could be looking at things wrong, but it looks like something happened to part of his arm or hand. >_>


Minato’s rasengan strikes! Minato, in the quickness, manages to mark his seal on Madara which allowed him to instantly teleport to him. Madara quickly notices what Minato has done, but not quick enough! Minato states that he has already released his control over the Kyuubi. This is extremely impressive. This makes Hashirama and Minato two people who have been able to successfully land an attack on Madara.


Wow, so after all this time we finally get to see Iruka-sensei and what happened to his family on that dreadful day. I love flashbacks ;_; It really makes you appreciate Iruka and his relationship with Naruto when you see what what Iruka had to experience when he was younger.


Hey, look! It’s the Senju along with the Third Hokage, Torifu Akimichi, Koharu Utatane, and Homura Mitokado! We last remember seeing those three on in Danzo’s flashback on the cover of Chapter 481. Where is Uchiha Kagami?._.


#POW! Minato was able to wound Madara and free the Kyuubi from his control in one move. Wow.. in only one move. Just that quickly he was able to make Madara retreat. Now that makes me wonder if it was actually Minato whopresent day Madara was so afraid of when Kabuto summoned that 6th casket!

Then we switch to a younger Kakashi, Gai, and Kurenai. This very interesting. The eyes oof Kurenai’s father look extremely piercing in black and white . *.* like a mini rinnegan or something xD Anyway, I am sure he would be so proud of his daughter now if he were alive. =)


Minato arrives back in Konoha and with the help of Gammabunta, holds down the Kyuubi and quickly teleports it to Kushina’s location with baby Naruto. Kushina’s stregnth has to be noted at this point. She *is* superwoman. Kushina, at her lowest and almost completely drained of all her chakra, is able to bring out those chains yet again to suppress the Kyuubi. Kushina is one of the strongest Jinchuuriki we have seen to date. She has had the Kyuubi ripped out of her and survived. Then after having the Kyuubi ripped out of her, she could still suppress it and drag it away allowing it to die within her. Notice that she says it will keep the Kyuubi from returning for “a while” meaning that even if she died, the Kyuubi would eventually return. This really sets the bar for just how strong the Kyuubi actually is compared to the other bijuu. But more than anything, shows us how much of a superwoman Kushina is and how far she will go to protect her husband and her child.


Well that’s new. We learn that the Dead Demon Seal is a seal that only non-jinchuuriki can use, according to Minato. Prior to this chapter, the last time we saw some of that was during Orochimaru vs the Third Hokage. Another thing thats important to note is that Minato states he will only be able to seal half of the fox’s power… which is what we have heard before.. but what is interesting is that Minato says that its “physically and conceptually” impossible to completely seal all of the foxes power. This, again, sets the bar for the Kyuubi in comparioson to the other bijuu.


Minato says that his son, Naruto, will be the one to stop Madara. I wonder if in the distant future present day Naruto will hit Madara (or Sasuke rather?) with a seal similar to the one his father landed on Madara in 503/05? But whats interesting is that Minato says “.. Naruto will be the one to stop him” referring to Naruto being the one who will stop Madara in the future when he returns. And with that, Minato begins the sealing process that explains how his mother is able to see him now on that dreadful day.

Naruto Manga Chapter 502: Minato FTW!

Naruto Manga Chapter 502 titled The Hokage goes to War is yet another great read. The title of this chapter says it all, really… so lets get right into it!

We see a baby sasuke crying as he is being held by his older brother, Itachi who appears to be very nurturing. This is such a cute page! Is he breast-feeding? (lol j/k ^_^) Where are his parents? It could be just a coincidence, but it makes you wonder just why are they not present. Either way, I think that there is some significance to Kishimoto mentioning their absence. Teenage Kakashi and Gai? Gai’s outfit looks almost the same as what he has now. Boy, he must really love those form-fitting outfits. LOL. ^_^  But seriously, Itachi and Kakashi both notice something wrong even before the Kyuubi came. Even at that age, they are strong. No wonder both grew up to be the ninja that we know them as today.

Madara LIED when he told Sasuke the Kyuubi was a natural disaster. Still, it’s pretty cool how he made the Kyuubi appear via Kyuchiyose

Sarutobi grips his right arm as if hes about to lay the smack seal down xD But really, this is why I love flashbacks! T.T’ We know how Konoha is now, but at the time to have two active Hokages ready to defend is just awesome! It would be lovely if we could see a modern version of this *cough*Naruto and Tsunade*cough*


Incredible. As soon as Minato arrives, he is noticed immediately. Further proof that Minato is very much a threat and can’t be ignored. The Kyuubi wastes no time throwing one of these at Minato. It is then that we really get to see the level of Minatos time and space jutsu. Like the other previous Hokage, he is thinking of others by transporting an incredibly large and fast amount of chakra to another location that’s away from the village. But what is even more fascinating is that he has choices as he is able to choose the destination. Wow.


Shikaku and Choza recognized that technique right away. Choza called it that “time and space barrier” technique. Jiraiya said that Minato was one of the most gifted shinobi who ever lived and now we see why. It’s no surprise why the third thought of Minato in his battle against Orochimaru. Minato is incredibly fast!!! … but so is Madara as he arrived at Minato’s new location right away.  It is then that Minato asks himself if his Masked opponent is a time and space user also. Madara is extremely determined to face Minato face-to-face and warp him instantly.


Minato is extremely sharp. Minatos ability to analyze the situation and his opponent in such a short amount of time is truly impressive. Right away Minato acknowledges that his opponent has taken down the anbu, who’re under the direct command of the third, surpassed the most powerful top-secret barrier they have, apprehended the Kyuubi, wield time and space jutsu that exceed Tobirama’s and his own, and then Marched right in without doing anything except for pausing to go through the barrier. (!!!) The amount of information processed so quickly only shows how keen and perceptive the 4th Hokage is. I can’t imagine what things would be like if Minato was able to plan and prepare himself for this. Anyway, lets not forget that it is during this moment that we learn from Minato that the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju was a time and space user too! (omg *___*;;;) Tobirama must have been extremely skilled. Wtb more on that, plx! ;D

Will Naruto Learn Minato’s “Yellow Flash”?

Hi Fandomers!! After the wait, chapter 501 was finally released! I thought we’d learn who was behind the mask ;( but we didnt. ><’ On the positive side, at least we get to see more of the Yellow Flash!

The “masked guy” states that Minato’s attack uses a special marker that allows him to -instantly- appear wherever the other marker is located. But what I really thought was interesting was that both Mangashare and Onemanga say that Minato’s technique, the “Yellow Flash” was somehow incorporated into the seal. I could be wrong, but if THAT technique was incorporated into the seal somehow, does this mean that Naruto might possibly learn one of his fathers most famous techniques? He’s already taken the Rasengan, a technique that Minato came up with, and boy did he take that to a fascinating extreme. #whatif Naruto, surpassing his father, learns the “Orange Flash” technique? xD

Does Madara know about Kabuto and Oro’s past?

To a degree, I think so, yes. But I just found it very interesting when I saw this page:

Why does he refer to Kabuto as “one of Sasori’s spies” and not “Orochimaru’s apprentice” or link him to Orochimaru or something? At this point I am only speculating, but maybe he is referring to the earlier days of Akatsuki when Kabuto was still under Sasori’s control, but surely with all the knowledge that Madara has, plus Zetsu’s spying and recording abilities, one would think that he would be well aware, or more known I guess I should say, of his relationship with Orochimaru.

Akatsuki has made it clear before in the past that Orochimaru-sama is not a friend of theirs and have been after him for quite some time,  so I just found it really interesting that Madara associated Kabuto with Sasori and not Orochimaru-sama instead. Is Madara really aware of Kabuto’s loyalty to Orochimaru, and does he know that Kabuto 2.0 now exists as a result of Orochimaru?

Tsunade: is she related to the Uzumakis?

Chapter 500 was an explosive chapter that gave us so much information! One of the more popular discussions that have spawned from this chapter would be Tsunade and her possible relation to Kushina and/or Mito-sama.

Currently, Tsunade and Naruto are the only known living members of the Senju clan. Tsunade-sama is the granddaughter of the First Hokage, Hashirama, and Uzumaki Mito, who was the First Hokage’s wife!  She is also the grandniece of the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senji.

Tsunade has a seal on her forehead that is used for healing(s). I remember the battle of the Three Legendary Sannin: Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Naruto vs Kabuto and Orochimaru-sama. It is during this battle that we actually get to see how effective Tsunade-sama’s medical ninjutsu is as well as her healing and regenerative abilities from her seal. It’s the same seal that I want to focus on for this discussion. If you read the last chapter, thenyou probably noticed the seal that appears to be on Mito-sama’s forehead as well.

I hope there is some relation or some type of connection between Tsunade-sama and Mito-sama… xD ^^’  “The Village of Longevity” … hmm. Tsunade is pretty old, but she appears to be in her late 20′s or early 30′s. She doesn’t even look like she’s touching age 40(imo) ^^’. I know that her seal and techniques are to credit for this, but at least now we have a better idea of where that seal could have initially originated from. x)

Interesting. Here, the 3rd Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, tells Kushina and the Fourth Hokage, Minato, that this is what they did for Uzumaki Mito. This states that Mito, at one time, was pregnant and the same thing was done for her. The important part here is that the First Hokage and Mito had a child… but who? I would like to think its Tsunade, but it’s too soon for me to say because we don’t know enough information yet. Tsunade could be the grandchild for all I know but I would like to think that there is some connection! What do you think?
