FINALLY! The wait is over. Chapter 506 is here titled Gai vs. Kisame!

When Kisame is spotted, Gai and the other ninja don’t appear to recognize who he is except for Killerbee who exposes Kisame.  Poor guy, I would feel terrible if I were in his shoes and that thing was supposed to be my inner-self lol. Thank goodness it doesn’t take long for somebody to notice Kisame. Samehada makes a run for it and flees in Bee’s direction. At this point, things are not looking good for Kisame as he is recognized (finally) by Motoi and a leaf ninja who’s name I don’t remember.

Kisame looks terrible.

Kodak moment? Not really but I thought this was kind of cute. Samehada made a run for it as soon as the opportunity came. I think it’s great that Bee embraced Samehada. He understood that it was being manipulated right away. No wonder Kisame questioned why Samehada gave Killerbee chakra during their first battle.

The sides changed so fast. For a second, Kisame was really against the odds. He appeared weak and malnurished and within seconds he was able to steal the chakra from Killerbee and a Leaf ninja. Kisame attacks Gai and makes a run for it.

Gai is really serious. Already he opens 6 gates and with the help of Bee he makes a move towards Kisame’s direction.  Then we switch briefly to Naruto who hurt his ankle. I have to admit, it seemed a little crazy for Naruto to step into the ground and hurt his ankle. I am aware that he didn’t have the Kyuubi cloak for physical protection, but an ankle of all things? That must really be some fast speed!  The scene switches back to Gai who summons Ningame. Ningame says that Gai hasn’t summoned him in years and he wasnt kidding, either. lol It was really nice to see him again! I think I last remember seeing him back in the chuunin exams when it was Lee vs Sasuke. Gai uses Ningame as a platform and leaps towards Kisame’s direction.

Poor Ningame. Kisame prepares a scroll with all the intelligence he has gathered so far from his spy mission and places it inside a shark. As soon as Gai arrives, Kisame uses his Five Man-Eating Sharks technique! This entire panel is so beautiful. Gai says there is only one option.. Morning Peacock. I guess this is his technique to counter Kisames attack. Nice.

The chapter leaves us with Gai’s Afternoon Tiger vs Kisame’s Giant Shark Missle. I am not sure what the outcome will be for next chapter, but I would like to see Kisame’s information reach Madara somehow. The “good” side already has info on Madara and what he’s capable of now that Karin is in the Leafs possession. And lets not forget that Anko, accompanied by Leaf ninja, was able to follow Kabuto’s trail and see him and Madara walking to the secret hideout together. Once all of this information is shared and processed, it will really give their side an edge, so I think it would be nice for this information to get back to Madara because it would balance things out and make some interesting battles in the future as Madara brings on the war. Hopefully, neither ninja will die and/or the battle gets interrupted somehow. Gai doesn’t need to leave us yet, and I am still not ready to see Kisame leave us either as I would still like to see him go against Suigetsu. Now we’re left to wait and speculate until next week when we find out who wins!
