Today I attended a 3 day convention called Anime Weekend Atlanta (also known as AWA to many) at the Cobb Galleria in Atlanta, GA! Last year I attended AWA for the first time and blogged about that experience here. This year, the event was packed with a lot of cosplayers and I was on a hunt to photograph as many Naruto cosplayers as possible, but unfortunately, there were not as many as I expected; nonetheless, I went into photography mode and turned into what my friends referred to as “shutter happy mode” and I began photographing everyone lol. It was a TON of fun! Last year, I used a Nikon D-60, and this year I used a Canon T-2i. I think both are nice cameras (at least for what I was doing, lol) but I think I like the Canon better.

Even though there wasn’t ANYWHERE near the amount of Naruto cosplay as I had anticipated, I still took some great photos of some awesome people. It’s really inspiring (especially as a designer) to see some of the outfits and materials that are used to achieve certain looks. Some of these people are really creative! I also created business cards to hand out to each person that I was fortunate enough to photograph so that if they wanted, they could see their photo. ^^’
If you’re one of the people that I photographed during this event, I took at least 3-4 shots or more of each person so if you see your picture and you want any additional images that I have, leave a comment at the bottom of this post with your email address and I will be more than happy to send you the original pictures in highres format (I can downsize them if needed). I had a blast taking these photos and I’d like to thank everyone who was kind enough to let me photograph them. Leave a message in the comment box and let me know what you think of your picture(s)! Enough of my blabber though… the pictures are below. Enjoy! ^__^
